The Lady chair is one of the icons engineering and design Made in Italy 50s, exhibited at the Museum of the Triennale di Milano. By the mark ArflexLady was born from an idea of Marco Zanuso in 1951 and is known to history as the first chair on which the foam was used. In fact represents an innovation for the production of furniture, both for its form, the production technique, and for the materials used, resulting in the immediate critical acclaim and great success among the public.

The chair has a structure in metal covered polyurethane molded foam flexible. Then presents a series of innovations developed by the company that have influenced the way of building the upholstered furniture such as springObtained by elastic straps and reinforced recliner.

I arms are in solid wood covered with polyurethane foam at varied densities and the liner is in the fiber. The legs are made of metal painted aluminum. The covers, not removable, is available in Alcantara, leather and various types of tissue.

The shape of Lady is snug and the thin steel legs suspended the session by facilitating the cleaning of the floor below it and have great aesthetic appeal make the whole lighter. The simplicity of design, proportion and form enveloping make nice now, suitable for a casual decor, vintage, no trivial. For this reason we deserved to win the Gold Medal at the IX Triennale di Milano in 1951, the Made in Italy.
