This project, designed by Peter PichlerHas transformed an old farmhouse near Gallipoli in Puglia, in a residence full of charm, with references to foreign influences and the past of these places.
The house, called not by chance “Casa Puglia”, has maintained the presence of the typical arches, exterior-facing, but also from one room to another, but turning them into a fascinating hybrid of past and present.
With perforated aluminum panels, the arches that are exterior were coated with a triple function: to insert a barrier in most of the bad and the interior of the house, shielded from light and if necessary give the house a touch of exotic beauty and certainly having an effect.
The designs of the panels in fact reminiscent of Eastern cultures, especially Arab, which together with Norman and the Greek influenced architecture and culture of the area centuries ago. And the result is a mix of old and new, ancient and modern style, very charming.
