Limoges? The small French town is a symbol in the world for quality porcelain, a showpiece for France and for all lovers of his dinner services bon ton (which is a classic Christmas lunch).
But there, next to the production of tableware, even the most daring experiments, such as those celebrated by the ‘International Award Creation of Limoges Porcelain. The first prize this year, Ceci n’est pas, Is a suspended sculpture created by Bertrand Fèvre: inspired by the work of Magritte “La trahison des images”, evokes the ambiguity of our perception of objects through the effect given by 2D layer side by side, white porcelain.
A warning to the contradictions inherent in our vision and our judgments, but also a celebration, with the choice of cup-icon, those objects that constantly accompany our daily lives.
