The Austrian designer Florian Pucher Land has shaped carpet, rugs made of the images that fascinate many of us, ie landscapes seen from aboveThat only air travel can offer. The idea is to exploit a fantastic and breathtaking views that only the height of the clouds is appreciable and then bring it to our feet to build multi-tissue. Virtually patterns inspired, to man-made shapes and colors to the natural environment.

Florian Pucher plays in the daily flight with the suggestion of the rugs made in China wool from New Zealand, where the designer has long since moved his studio and its production. Hand-woven, the fabric pieces vary in height to give depth and realism to the landscape represented. Late last year, Land of the Carpet have won the Elle Decoration International Design Award (The jury is composed of 24 international editions of the network) in the category Best Floor Covering in 2009.

A succession of forms and colors that will surely have tickled the imagination of this young Austrian designer of world renown, that has seen fit to immortalize their views in these carpets are truly unique.

The Land Carpet declined in four models were inspired by European landscape, in the African, the U.S. and the Netherlands and produced in a limited quantity of 80 copies each.

Florian Pucher was born in Vienna in 1977, a young designer graduated with a master’s degree in Zaha Hadid, With an extensive apprenticeship in Paris, with the OMA of the Netherlands Rem Koohlhaas and then to Beijing
