Fuori Salone 2011 the history

The Fuori Salone has become a veritable institution dedicated to the Milan Fashion Week design! For those who still do not know, this is a set of events and initiatives that are organized each year to coincide with the Salone Internazionale del Mobile. We are talking about a real phenomenon of his birth around the early 80s and develops outside of the usual exhibition spaces of the exhibition.

Outside the exhibition began in the early 80s but sees its official introduction in the early ’90s thanks to Interiors magazine which publishes a guide, attached to the April issue, entitled Guide to Living Out.

This guide was first listed in alphabetical order 50 events and parties accompanied by a general map of the city which merely indicated the area of the event.

Since the early years to today the Fuori Salone became a real phenomenon that every year sees an increasing number and events, meetings, exhibitions and presentations of new collections innovative and original location in the city located outside of the usual and prestigious exhibition center.

Over the years, the border between the events in what is called the Fair and Show Off has thinned so that we always talk more often Design Week: The week in Milan dedicated entirely to design through a full calendar of corporate events and side events organized around the Salone del Mobile and in the coolest areas of Milan.
