After the success of the 2009 Glasstress, Adriano Berengo makes feasible the issue Glasstress 2011 , giving continuity to this project born from a prerogative of the unusual glass of Murano . Project accepted by an exhibition that tells the playful and artistic, which opened in Venice in conjunction with the Biennial and supported by Berengo Center for Contemporary Art and Glass in collaboration with Susan Scherman.

Not just a show then, but a project in the round and in constant evolution, interpreted and reported no aesthetic dogmas and preconceptions, where leading designers and artists of the contemporary international scene, such as Domenico Bianchi , Kiki van Eijk , Vik Muniz , Ted Noten , Patricia Urquiola and many others, have joined this year by addressing the complex relationship that binds the art design and architecture, proposing the plan critical issues far from resolved: the functional use of a design object, regardless of its aesthetic or formal qualities is in itself sufficient to make the work alien to the spirit of the time? Glasstress , thus offering the viewer food for thought on issues that require a review of the dogmas of modernism, showing how they are still present these issues that need to be further explored.
In the ’50s, Peggy Guggenheim stated his views about glass and glassmakers, pointing out how this material and his creations were so high that it can not be regarded as merely decorative objects.

The exhibition has accompanied the creation of this edition, sounds inspired by the physicality of the materials, composed by Max Casacci, musician, producer and author and founder of the band Subsonica Vague and Stars, a young producer and composer of electronic music.
Together they created a piece for Glasstress 2011, using the sounds of working and sounds of the blended material and rhythmic, harmonic adding transparency.
