The chair Aluche of Ligne Roset was designed by Jacques Ferrier and Pauline Marchetti at the French Pavilion of the project conceived for the Shanghai World Expo 2010 with the ‘aim of achieving the temporal precision of useful items. The designers are convinced that the object of daily life is sensual when simple, familiar, solid. Based on this principle have thought a chair that can be used both outside and inside. The proportions of the base steel and aluminum reassuring, the base supports a perforated game sessions that may be faced by a range of felts wool

Suitable for use both indoor and outdoor gardens that for this chair resistant materials are used outdoors, such as aluminum el’inox the base and the plastic injected into the back-seat body. In addition to its decor, the perforated shell provides a flexibility that improves comfort and allows the flow of rain in outdoor use.

Prototype building surrounded by a thin network of concrete and white suspended above a pool of water, the French Pavilion is designed as a built landscape, covered with a garden inside the vertical, contemporary reinterpretation of the French garden.

Through these technical feats Jacques Ferrier and a multisensory journey brings a humanistic vision and innovative uses of the city and LUGNANO Roset furniture to demonstrate excellence in French.
