Metrobench is a bench on the meaning and design truly special. Sprung by the designer Stephen Shaheen , the object was originally assembled by hand over 5000 Metrocard in New York.

The concept behind this sculpture sitting pretty, it is the desire to bring together so many stories and so many lives in a continuous stream, which is what happens on public transport in a big city like New York every day.

The Metrocard are those that travel and the people running from one place to another, constantly, incessantly, the Metrobench of hand, although starting from the same MetroCard, would instead be a resting place for travelers themselves.

The Metrobench is available in an edition limited to a single copy in the Sloan Fine Art Gallery , the designer, however, said they would work on other projects based always on the same concept.
