New chair signed by Nendo Yii

The collaboration between the celebrated Japanese designer of world-renowned Nendo and the company Yii has led to a surprising sitting. We palando the new collection of chairs that will be presented tomorrow, April 12, 2011 at the facilities of the Triennale di Milano as part of Fuori Salone 2011. We are talking about a chair design as innovative as it is essential that can combine so wise the old techniques of craftsmanship with a decidedly contemporary style flavor.

Today I want to talk about the new collection of chairs designed and engineered by Nendo for YiiCarried out under a new design by Gijs Bakker, co-founder of Droog Design, the National Taiwan Craft Research Institute.

For the construction of this chairThe Japanese designer of international fame is inspired by the ancient techniques of using bamboo and steel as raw material.

The result is a steel chair Asian flavor features a contemporary design and easy to reproduce on an industrial scale.
