New Maggie’s Centre in Nottingham Opens – Maggie’s is an amazing charity – giving people with cancer a place to go that’s not a hospital and isn’t their home either. But somewhere comfortable and neutral in which to deal with the challenge of cancer. Their new centre in Nottingham aims to be an oasis (being strategically placed between two hospital departments).

If nothing else, it’s bound to lift the spirits of the patients who use it. Designed by ZWG Architects, the centre follows hot on the heels of their centre in Glasgow (Zaha Hadid) which gained critical – if not public – praise.
