Rainbow City, Miami Basel Art Fair

Rainbow City environment is an installation inspired by ancient sacred rituals involving the exploration of forests, but also a playground by the explosive color, created by FriendsWithYou originally developed for the Luminato Festival of the Arts in Toronto instead and rebuilt throughout the weekend in the heart of the Miami Design District during Art Basel 2010.

It is forty monolithic structures, including the colorful toy customers move and they are encouraged to interact with hypnotic sounds too involved, while individual inflatable totem react to movements with lights, smoke and small actions. In this path that calls mystical experiences and children’s games at the same time, they were guests of the exhibition spaces and even a performance of live Pharell Williams and his N.E.R.D.
