Reconstruction of the attic in Toronto

Dubbeldam Design Architects have transformed the space inside the historic house in Toronto in a modern residential loft. The reconstruction was designed to preserve the historic charm of the building when converting the interior for modern living with clean lines, open spaces and natural light. Much of the interior walls, dividing the interior space into small rooms, were dismantled, the ceiling in the living room removed, creating two tiers of windows with a mezzanine space for a private zone.
