Tables and 'De Padova Vico Magistretti Vidun

The table and ‘De Padova Vidun is a creation of the great designer Vico Magistretti, 1987, which was founded by looking at the tradition of handicraft, but without neglecting the concepts of contemporary design.

The table Vidun is one of the most famous pieces designed by Vico Magistretti and the first of the collection is’ De Padova.

A first peculiarity lies in the choice of the name Vidun, which derives directly from the Milanese dialect, meaning large screw. This term, of course, is by no means random and refers precisely to the large wooden screw and the tripod that make up the base.

The table structure is very charming and is a simple device and use common, consisting of a glass table top adjustable height and a base made of beechwood.

The wood is offered in a natural finish, black lacquer or colored and is the fundamental and characteristic feature of the project.

The robust character of the wood is matched to the lightness of tempered glass 12 mm thick, with polished edge, creating a piece of furniture, basic but very refined, which enhances the working of wood.
