Superfolk is a studio founded by Irish Gearoid Muldowney in 2008 and will launch a new range of wood products in 2010 called the Stockholm Furniture Fair: tables, lamps and sbabelli. Influenced by the philosophy that “nothing is thrown away” and innovation of materials and construction methods of the Irish classic furniture, products Superfolk recall the style of handicraft returning at affordable prices. Wood materials of local origin with a manic attention to basic design and used for multiple uses. The new line includes a table, several stools, handmade designs inspired by traditional Irish boats and lamps produced in collaboration with the creator of basketball Joe Hogan. Hogan has achieved international recognition for his basket-based materials that he grows directly on the shores of Lough Na Fooet in Connemara. Superfolk is an independent study . The products of the study Superfolk are a tribute to the heritage of Ireland.
