Copernicus of Artemis, Presented to news Salone del Mobile Milan 2011Is a lamp Anodized aluminum wall, with matching sospensione.Copernico a model is composed of three concentric, elliptical, derived from a single slab of aluminum that support a well-circuit 384 Led white and the beauty of this’ object is that two internal elements rotate independently on the horizontal axis, allowing to direct the light output and simultaneously to obtain different configurations of the object light. In practice, Copernicus proposed two lamps in a single model can be converted into a thousand different ways, it seems a good gyro.

Its main feature is the complete customization of the chandelier, a possibility which seems to make it look like a game.

When closed, or better, when the nine ellipses are arranged parallel to the floor and the chandelier became more sober and Copernicus very bright because all the LEDs are grouped very close to boosting the total luminous flux.

The models are inspired by the Copernican text, hence the name, De revolutionibus orbium coelestium (The revolutions of the heavenly worlds) and his heliocentric theory.

The concept of Copernicus was developed by designers Carlotta de Bevilacqua and Paul Dell’Elce for brand Artemide and is also available in a wall, of rectangular shape with the same number of white LEDs. Chrome is not available yet but the only anodized aluminum.
