Venini lamps, a Lighthouse by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec

Lighthouse is a lamp very special, produced with the help of Marks Established & Sons and Venini, Designed by duo Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec. Particular reference is no doubt that generates, ie the lighthouse, That indicates the presence of ships of the coast. The brothers Bouroullec have designed a lamp inspired by the lenses of these important structures for the road at sea, capturing the evocative power to travel ‘adventure novel memory. The preview was given to the previous installation of Fuori Salone in Estrablished & Sons.

L ‘idea was to illuminate a tree glass round and massive, inspired by the craftsmanship of Murano, and here comes the Venetian Venini it was supported by a staff of lightweight aluminum.

Lighthouse is made of a glass lens supported by a massive round of black anodized aluminum rod on top of a black stone base. It refers to a theme dear to the Bouroullec brothers, that of the precarious balance: there is a single point of contact sharp, no fixing, including glass and metal structure, as if the glass was hung without security.

Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec wanted to work on the vulnerability of the object: what interested them was also the mix of the techniques of the three elements that make up the lamp base and the stick are produced industrially and the glass is blown by the old traditional methods. The base is made of marble or is available in metal, such as the barrel. Glass can be tinted yellow or transparent.
