On display throughout the month of March to the gallery of contemporary design Helmrinderknecht Berlin, this lamp “X & Y” created by Flynn Talbot is one of the highlights of his ‘young’ – but even appreciated – work.
The design of X & Y is deliberately minimal, focused on the effects of light. A polished brass base contains all the LEDs and provides support to the sphere, supported by a ring of felt. With the touch, you control the intensity and color of light, moving in any direction along the light (hence the name) X and Y axes (the horizontal “X” controls the color and the vertical “Y” the brightness).
